What do you believe is the cruelest part of the Hunger Games? What kind of people would create such an event in which people kill each other for entertainment?
I think the cruelest part would have to be the blood bath. When they all fight over the supplies and almost all of the people just die in that. People who like others to suffer would create such an event. I don't think watching people die is a fun thing.
I think the cruelest part of the hunger games definatly has to be seeing children around your age killing each other in order for them to live and forcing people to watch. People don't like to see others die and most of all they hate to see people who have cruel deaths to those who have only had a little time to live.
And people who are cruel and don't understand the grief that people go through watching their childen die right before their eyes and can do nothing to protect them.

I think the cruelest part of the hunger games would be watching people kill you friends and/or killing them yourself. This is the Capitol's why in saying "we own you!". I think the Capitol finds this entertainment amusing by the fact that kids are killing eachother for no reason other than to live. The people in the Capitol have something wrong in their head to think that murdering is fun.
I think the cruelest part of the hunger games is that how many games there were and out of those 73 games only 1 of each survived. Intotal of 73 games with 1,752 people only 73 survived. So in all if you were in the Hunger Games you only have about a 4% chance of winning. Also that the purpose of all this is for ammusment makes the games even worse.
I truly think that the cruelest part of the Hunger Games is forcing practically kids to kill 23 other people in an arena full of danger made by the Capitol's Gamemakers. Sick and cold blooded humans invented this game for their own amusement which is just 100 percent wrong. Personally I wouldn't want to watch a friend, neighbor, or even someone from my family get severly sick or hurt while playing this disturbing game or even getting killed.

Also the kids that go into the games have family that are sad and hoping for their child to win and be able to come back and be with them.

The capitol must have a different perspective of the games in their mind because they think that doing this to teenagers is the right thing to do, which clearly it is not.
I think that there are many cruel things in the HG, but this one tops them all. The Gamemakers have 24 lives at their hands and they are sick enough to just let them die. They set up all the traps in the arena; then watch them kill innocent children. Also, they are crazed enough to even persuade the children to get together and kill each other. The whole "Games" is very non-human like.
i think that the curelest part of the book was when Rue died. I think it's the worst part because she was so young and inasent. Rue never really got to live her life. The other reason is because she was calling for help then the boy through the spear into her, and she died slowly. zach h
