Reality TV
The way in which the Games are televised in Panem gives a whole new meaning to reality TV as we know it today. What popular TV shows are you familiar with in our world that put people's problems and struggles on display for public entertainment? Does this book make you think differently about those shows? Why or why not? How is what those shows are doing the same or different from how the Capitol televises the Hunger Games in Panem? Explain your answer.

the only show that i can think of that some what relates to the hungergames is Surviver. all off the players are put in the same place and have too survive but instead of killing each other they vote each other out.both games typically have the same concept but the hungergames is much more gruesome.

Some TV Shows are Survivor, Jersey Shore, and etc. It makes me think differently about others, but not Survivor because it is kind of like the samething as the Hunger Games. These shows are different because they all are done with different things. They are the same because it is showing the struggles they are having and dealing with in that situation.

I think of one which is Survivor. In Survivor, its almost like the Hunger Games, but the Hunger Games are far more scary and more blood spread around. The book makes me think the show is nothing compared to the Hunger Games. I think this because there is some false that the Capitol shows the people like when they delete the part where Katniss put flowers on Rue. But they are just removing parts of rebellion, but other then that, they show everything else. In Survivor, they have to vote on eachother being out.

I agree with Nimish because the show Survivor is similar to the Hunger Games and also the show Man vs Wild. In these shows it shows peoples struggles as they try to survive in nature. These shows could actually have people learn something about how to survive. Now in the Hunger Games it is a show to have the districts see how much power the Capitol has, not to learn.

There are 2 tv shows that come to mind when I think of people's struggles. One is Surviver and how it forces people to go against one another and live in an unfamiliar territory. It relates to the actual hunger games, but they aren't struggling too much because they can quit at any time. Another is The Biggest Loser. Now this show doesn't directly relate to the actual games, but it shows people struggle and sometimes fail with their weight. I never really liked that show, but after reading The Hunger Games, I realize that it wasn't a good form of entertainment, because it showed personal stuff on live tv. For entertainment.

The only show that comes to mind is survivor. In survivor there are many obstacles to overcome like in the hunger games but in the hunger games you have to kill one another and to be the last one standing. In survivor you don't get killed you get voted off.

One show that i know that shows people's problems and struggles and forced to live in an unknown area is Survivor. In Survivor people are in a jungle and have to survive on their own or with a partner. The only difference i see between Survivor and the Hunger Games is that there is a lot more blood, pain, and struggle. The Hunger Games are also more difficult to stay alive because people are actually trying to kill one another while inn Survivor they just have to protect and feed themselves.

One show that comes to mind for me is Wipeout they have to do all different obstacles to figure a way though to the other side to win. It has pain but not as much as the hungergames has.

One of the shows is Survivor. It kind of does but it's not as brutal as the hunger games. I think it kind of does because lik i said its not as brutal(killing eachother) as the Hunger Games. I think it is like watching Survivor for us, but they are watchign the Hunger Games.

it could be survivor, yes its just like watching survivor for us. but the sickest part of the hunger games is that peole actually watch people kill eachother on tv.

The show that comes to mind when i think about this is Survivor. This would for sure relate because it's people from all over coming to battle eachother out. It is very umfimaliar to the people on the show, just like the tributes from the Hunger Games. Both of these shows tell you how in the wild it is hard to stand without comfort. These struggles must be real hard for them.

One reality show that comes to mind when i think of the hunger games is the show Survivor. Even though they are not fighting for there life they are still going through very hard obstacles. The obstacles could lead to serious injuries and the are trying to win a big amount of money. The book does make me think differently because you realize that some of the stuff is acting like how Peeta and Katniss are "madly on love."

I think the obvious show to think of when compared to the Hunger Games is Survivor. They both have to do with gathering food and surviving. The main difference is that they don't literaly try and kill eachother on Survivor.

The one show that comes to mind is Survivor. It shows people struggle to get what they need to survive. This book doesn't make me think differently about this show because they are not the same. In Survivor the tributes are not forced to kill one another.

The only tv show that comes to mind is the show Survivor, because it shows the struggle to get food and water and also to live in unfamiliar territory. This relates because they both have to find food water shelter and they don't know what it will be like when they are out there in the wild. But in Survivor they are not forced to kill anyone.
