Katniss' Future
Based on the ending of the book, what do you think will happen to Katniss once she returns to District 12? Do you think the Capitol will try to punish her? If so, how? How will her life change in District 12 now that she has won and is rich? How will her family relationships change? Her friendship with Gale? Peeta? Haymitch? Make as many predictions as you like, just be sure to support your predictions with reasons based on the text.

I thank that once Katniss returns home she is going to get punished because she pulled out the berries. doing so was a HUGE act of rebelion and it was also kind-of a slap in the face to the Capitol.I think the punishment will have something to do with hurting the people closest to her (Katniss) because those people are who she strongly cares about. This will deffinatly change her life in District 12 because, knowing who Katniss is, she will probably try to do somthing to try and stop the punishment. I think she will still be friends with Gale but probably not as close due to Peeta and i think Peeta and Katniss will get Married :)

I think she will want to go to the woods, so she can get away from it all and sort things out in her head. No, because the capitol thinks they were going to kill them selves over love not rebellion. I think she will be very lonely and bored sicne she is rich now. She probaly will still want to go to the woods. I think she will be able to be around her family more often now. I think her relationship with gale will still be the same. I think peeta and katniss are done with each other no that they got in that argument. I think she will occasionally talk to haymitch but not much.I think she will become very bored being rich not needing to hunt, but i think she still will and give her kills to gale.

I think she will have to talk to Gale about what happened with Peeta. It might make him mad so she will probably use a different person instead of herself. I think the cpaitol will try to punish Katniss because Katniss has shown many signs of rebellion and the capitol does not rebellion. The capitol might use the peacekeepers and to try to kill so the capitol does not have to see signs of rebellious. I think katniss will use her richness to buy food for her mother and prim. If she does that i think her mother will be less depressed. I think Katniss will decide to take Gale's advice and go live in the woods together because she and Peeta sort of lost their relationship.

I think that her life will be good in District 12, considering that she won the Hunger Games. Also her, Prim, and her mother wont starve. I think that her relationship with Gale will be a little bit awkward at first but will get better. Also, I think that her friendship with Haymitch will be the same and her and Peeta's friendship will get better.

I think that the life she had would stay the same, but with more food for her family, and they would be happy for her when she returned home. The capitol would not punish her because Katniss won far and square along with Peeta. Also her friendship with Gale would not change but with Peeta since she got to know him a bit better. Also she trusts haymitch a lot more than she first met him.

I think when she gets home she will love to share the money with her family. It will help them alot if they have money because then they wont starve. I think that haymitch will be nicer to her and so will peeta.I think that katniss and Peeta will get together because of the way that they acted in the games.

i think katniss and peeta will become boyfriend and girlfriend. but gale will be one of kaniss's closest friends. i olso think that in the second book there will some other thing that katniss will have to do like the hunger games.

I think that Katniss is going to be farther away from Gale because she probably won't get to see him as much. This is because they will live in different sections of District 12. Katniss will probably not get married with Peeta because it said that she didn't want to have any children in the hunger games. The Capitol won't punish Katniss because after a while they will just forget about it.

I think that the Capitol will do nothing to her because of the berries. I also think that when she returns to District 12 she will be rich. I also think that Katniss and Peeta will not be friends, because when he found out that she liked him for the crowd, he was mad. Also with Gale I think they wont be friends, because he will be jealous of Peeta, because it looked they dated on the show.

I think that gale will just leave her because she will be rich and he will still be fighting for the lives of his family each day.I think the capitol will rip Katniss off somehow. Like she wont get all the rewards of a victor.She wont need to hunt. Her family wont struggle for anything. Also everyone in the district has to act like they like her now that she and Peeta won.How will her family relationships change? Her friendship with Gale? Peeta? Haymitch? I think her family will be more distant now that they don't all depend on Katniss. Peeta is angry with her but i think he will get over it and notice that Katniss likes him too. I also think Haymitch will be friends with Katniss now that there lives are more alike.

I think that katniss wont have to worry about any bad things happening to her anymore. Even if the Capitol tried to do something, district 12 will protect her. I think that Peeta will marry some other girl and Katniss not marry at all. With all the money that she has, i think she would help Prims life and her mothers life too.

I think Katniss's life will go back to normal, but with more money. She will still go hunting with Gale and she and Peeta will go back to the way they used to be. But I also think that the Capitol will try to get back at Katniss through her family. They might cut off her food, or money, or force Prim to enter the Games. Another possibility is that they might force Peeta and Katniss to be in another Hunger Games and make sure there is only one winner

I think Katniss's life will be different because she will get more respect and lots of money. Her and Gale will be weird because she kissed Peeta. I think Peeta and her relationship will be weird because they kissed. I think that the Capitol they will get back at her by torturing her family. Like taking away they food source or something like that and instead of Katniss entering her name they will make sure Prim has to. Also maybe they will say that Peeta and Katniss have to re-fight to the death with only one winner.

I think that the Capital will try to punish her. Like all of the people who are close to her like her friends and families. I think that Peeta and Katniss's relationship will get better. Her life will be different, I also think that Peeta and Katniss will get married.

I think the Capitol will try to punish Katniss but she will end up outsmarting them like she always does. I think Katniss and Peeta's relationship will get better and hopefully Katniss will be able to explain to Peeta about how she really feels about him. When Katniss talks to Gale when she gets back I think he will be angry and confused with her because he clearly had a little crush on her before she left to fight. There is also another possibility of Gale and Peeta starting to fight over Katniss to see who will win her heart!

I think she will try to blend in as well as possible and try to get back to her normal life. Also I think the Capitol will try to see if what she did was an act of rebellion and then if she says it is, yes I think they will punish her. I believe that her relationship with Peeta will became closer and she will find out how she feels about him and find out if she wants to be friends or more than friends with Peeta or Gale. I also believe that Gale will be a little mad about Katniss and Peeta and be jealous and see if it was real or not.

I think Katniss will try to become her self again but it will very hard because many people will want interviews and want to watch her. The capitol will try to punish her by make it look like an accident. I think she will want to go back to hunting and doing thinks with gale. I don't think any family reasons ships will change. Peeta and Katniss still be friends because they love each other. Gale might be mad for the kissing but he is smart so he may think it is a plan. Katniss and haymit will keep in touch just to tell katniss how much the capitol is mad at her.

I think when she returns home she will not want to live in her big and fancy house. I think Prim and her mom will love living there though. I also think that the capitol will still have cameras looking at them so she needs to be careful with Gale, Peeta and her hunting. Her relationship with gale, I think will be awkward and not as good as it used to be because of he having to like Peeta in the games. Her relationship with Peeta, I think they will not talk at all until they have to go around to the other districts.And for Haymitch i think he will still be as drunk as ever.

I think Katniss and Gale will go to District 13 and live there to stay away from the punishment from the Capitol. If the Capitol were to punish Katniss, they would probably put her back in the hunger games. They also might put prim in the hunger games instead of her. Or they could take her family.

I don't think that Katniss and Peeta will talk again because at the very end they wouldn't talk. I also think that Katniss and Gale won't talk due to the theory of "the star-crossed lovers from district 12". I don't think Katniss will want to be part of all the fame and glory she earned by winning the games.

I think that since the Capitol is a laughing stock that Pres. Snow will find some way to punish her that won't be too obvious and will affect her greatly. I think this because Katniss managed to outsmart their "Games" and also when Pres. Snow gave her the crown in the book, his eyes were unforgiving; as if they were giving her a message that she WILL be punished. As to her relationship with Petta, I think that they will eventally become friends but not girlfriend/boyfriend again because the best way to mend a broken heart is to give it time.

I think Katniss and Peeta will be friends. I also think President Snow will find a way to get back at Katniss for what she did. Katniss and Gale might still be friends but it not that close as before. Her family will change because she is now rich.

I think Katniss and Peeta will get married on the victory tour. Peeta will have to put on a show with Katniss so that the crowd loves them and so that they don't get killed. I think that Katniss might accidently start a rebellion.
