Alliances
As the Games continue, many of the tributes form alliances with one another, agreements to work together against their competitors. Why do they do this when they know they will eventually be forced to kill one another? What are the pros and cons of forming alliances? If you were in a similar situation, would you want to form one, knowing that your partner could turn against you at any time? Why or why not?

I think it would be good to be in an alliance because then once all the people that are not in your alliance will be gone, then you have less people to worry about at the time. And they help watch over you if you need to rest or sleep.they will also help you hunt for food and keep a lookout for the other contestants. And if you are with them for a long time and see how they kill people you will know their weakness and will be able to take them down.

The Alliances are good because you can put supplies together and help out each other, and take gaurd at night so you dont get attacked. The bad thing about them is thateventually you will have to be killing the others, unless they are from the same district, then they both can win. I think it would be smart to get a group with only the one in my disrict so that we could help each other and both win.

Actually, there can only be one winner in the Games. It doesn't matter if the last two survivors are from the same district they'll eventually have to fight to the death or poison themselves *cough* Katniss *cough* Peeta *Cough*
DeleteWell if I did form an alliance I would kill my partner when we got 1/4 of the way through so that they wouldn't expect it. then I would take their supplies before the spacecraft got them. Also I would use stealth and freakishly unhumanlike brutallity to take out the competitors if I didn't form an alliance. That would be my strategy.

I think people from alliances because there is some/little trust between them. A good thing about froming alliances is that it is easier to get other than your partner and we can remember if they are good or bad. A bad thing is that you can't figure out when they might be coming. If I was in that situation then I would not join an alliance because no one is trustable.

ReplyDeleteI think that forming alliances are helpful in the Hunger Games. If there are 24 people, that is alot of people and anyone can kill you. If alliances are formed then you have a greater chance of surviving. But anyone can betray one another and kill when someone is sleeping so it might be a little dangerous. It is risky on both sides but I would choose to form one than not to.

They form alliances in the games so they can kill people faster. Then when it comes time that their the only ones left I would guess it would just be a huge fight. A pro of forming an alliance would be at the time of the alliance you would have protection, but the con of it would be in the end you might die. The only way I would form an alliance with someone is if I trusted them and I knew that they wouldn't randomly kill me in my sleep. An example would be Katniss and Rue's alliance.

They form alliances because they need someone there to help them if anything goes wrong and for survival. Would you last long all by yourself in the middle of nowhere? No, because two is better than one and none means a slim chance of survival. Why do you think the contestants on Survivor form alliances? The cons though is knowing that at any point in the game, your alliance can fade and your "partner" could betray you. Yes, I most likely would form an alliance with someone that I know I could work with because anyone that I can't work with would mean a shaky partnership and probably a quick one as well. I would need someone who can fight hand-on-hand combat because I would be the one that would out climb my enemies and someone who could help me work out ways to escape threats when they come. Obviously, I couldn't do that all by myself.

I think tributes formed an allinance for many reasons but the main reason would most likely be to get food and shelter. The tributes know that someone will betraly them so they probley keep whatch of them. The great part of an alliance is that many people can help you if you were fighting. A con is that many people may not do any thing then just kill you. If i was in the hunger games i would not form an alliancejust because I would never just someone who has to kill me.

I agree and disagree with Nimish. I agree with him because if you form an alliance then you can get stuff that you dont have from other people. I think it is a bad idea because people might betray you and kill you. I would take that risk and get the supplies I need then I would betray them and kill that person in my alliance.

I think the tributes form an alliance because they know they won't get killed then they can have a chance to kill them. I think it's a good and bad idea. Good because if you agree to form an alliance you will have a chance to be the killer of them and bad because they could betray you and kill you. I would worry first about getting the supplies I truly need and then form an alliance so I would have a chance to kill them before they kill me.

they did that because it makes it faster to get doen to the final people left. they also did that because half way through the games they coould win iwith a partner from their disteict.they amight have also teamed up because they were friends and they wanted to be the best team or the beat people in the games.

I think forming an alliance is good for the tributes. But you have to trust them because you never know if they will kill you. With knowing that if you trust them it will be some weight lifted off you. Knowing that not all the other tributes are against you. Also if you were one of the youngest it would be good to know some one is on your side.

I think that alliances is a really good idea during the games because two is better than one. I think that they formed alliances because they wanted a team, just to have a bit more chance of survival, and to have extra help along the way with all the tasks they need to complete to stay alive.Some pros are that you get extra help and just having someone being around you to watch your back. If your alliance turns on you, or they take more of a risk in you having less chance of survival, it's defiantley a con. I would take a chance on having an alliance for as long as I can because it helps a lot because they're two people to get the food, to fight people, and to bulid shelter.

I think that forming an alliance is a good and a bad idea. I think it is good because you will have more supplies and a better chance for survival. I also think it is bad because your team can turn on you at any second and you would either have to run, you can try to kill them, or they will just kill you right there and then.

In forming an allicance I would not get conected to them and always be alert so incase they turn on me I wouldn't be to surprised. But a pro would be more power more supplies and in case you are hurt you always know you won't be alone unless they kill you.

I think they formed alliances because then they can kill as many people as they can with there different skills. Also if they have different survival skills they can help and teach each other skills. Also they will no most of there weakness's in the games.Some pro's of forming alliances is like i said before most of there weakness's will be relieved but a con is that they will no yours too.Depending on the person maybe i would most form a alliance because I don't trust those from the higher districts.I would trust rue. She seams like a small innocent girl that's very wise.

The reason that it could harm you is because they could turn on you at any time. YOu could form one though to take someone out and then you could take out your teammate.

I think it's best to be in an alliance because you have help. But it's kinda cheating because it's you vs. everybody else. I think it's best to go alone so you don't have your ally making mistakes. So in the hunger games it's your decision but I wouldn't go alone

So they can kill every body else quicker and dont starve to death and then they can kill each other. The postitives of forming alliances is that everybody in the alliance has different skills so they are basically good at every thing. The negitive is that you have lots of disagreements and eventually you are going to have to kill each other. No. I would just stay hidden and let everybody else kill each other and then kill the last person besides me. Because anybody can turn on you at any time.

They form the allys to become a stronger team, so they are able to kill off all of the others and their allys. When you are forming allys you would need to pick a person that is useful and will help you. Like if you were a good hunter you could be the one that hunts and you will not starve because you would always have the food. So you may need a person that is sly or can keep a look out for you. The disadvantages are that you would have to kill them after your ally had killed off all of the others. If I had a choice about if I would form an ally I would not want to form the ally because you are going to take the time to work with them and they may pick up on your tricks. Then afterword with them learning some of your tricks that you have on hunting or sneaking around, when they go against you they will use your tricks and their own tricks to defeat you.

DeleteI think forming an alliance is a good idea if your trust your allies. I think they form alliances to dominate another alliance or make the tasks they must complete everyday like hunting or finding shelter much easier. It would be a difficult situation if you and your allies were together at the end because you would have to turn against each other. If I was in this situation I would form and alliance because it would give me a better chance to making it farther.

I think that forming an alliance is a good thing because if you are all strong its hard to be beaten. But you have to trust and make sure that there not transferring information to other people. It also nicer because if you split up it would be easier to find food and shelter. Knowing that I would be afraid I probably would not trust anyone.

I would not want to form an alliance, because the risks it has. One thing good about alliances are that you get two peoples skills. The thing that makes me not want an alliance is that the other person could turn on me at any time just like Peeta's situation. Also that the other person could ditch you taking all of the supplies. With that in mind I would not want an alliance.

I think Peeta would want want to partner up with Katniss because he is in love with her. In that matter they can both win the games because they are from the same district. This means that they are going to have to find each other. But Katniss does not know yet if Peeta is still alive.

I think it is a good and bad idea. It's good because, you'll have more supplies. It's bad because, they can turn on at any givev moment! If I were in an allience, I would use them, I mean that once we kill a certain amount of the other tributes, I would term on them and kill them and then take there supplies. Like if there are 11 tributes left(counting us) and our allience was made of me, and 2 more tributes, we would kill 4 tributes(that would then be 7 left) then I would kill my 2 allies(that would leave 5, im one of the 5).

I think it is a good thing to make an alliance. Even though you will need to kill each other. You will survive longer than if you would without no one. If you make an alliance with more than one person makes it easier, because it may even out the odds by quite a bit.

I think that forming allicences in the hunger games is very smart. It is risky, but usually pays off. The advantages are that; you have company, help in fights and sense of comfort. Some disadvantages are; 2 tomes the amount of food is needed, 2 people are louder than 1, the other person could turn on you, and you can't be to close because you might have to kill them later.

ReplyDeleteAlliences can be good but at times it might not be so good. One pro of having an allience is that u learn there strenths and there weeknesses. But it could be bad if you were to tell them all about you. Another con is they can kill you any time like when your sleeping. You would never know when and can be a risky idea so kill them sooner then later.

It will be good for a while since you travel in packs of 2 or more because its harder to kill a pack. Some pros are that you will get a decent amount of food quickly, another one is our weakness may be their strength, and its harder for both you of die. Some cons is that you will run out of food faster, it's harder to travel because of all the supplies. I form a alliance but break it when 9 people are left.

if i where in the hunger game is would want to be an ally with someone because if you form an alliance with someone you could have a pair with someone with different survival skills so you can help eachother along. but a down fall is if you are the only two left in the in the games you would have to kill each other.

They make alliances so that they can have someone to watch their back for the moment. This works fine for short term plannig but in the end only one person can win. If the opportunity presented itself to form an alliance I would but I would still be very cautious.

I think people formed alliances with the other tributes because they probably thought they would be able to survive longer if they formed one. Some pros of forming an alliance would be they could learn some new skills from the other tributes and they would have a decent amount of supplys, weapons, and food to help them survive. Some cons of forming an alliance would be you would never know if they were planning on killing you and just pretending to be friends with you. Also, if you pick a person that is more skilled than you and it ends up to be just you two left, you would probably be the loser in that situation. If I had the choice to form an alliance with anyone, I would make sure I could trust them with my life before I did anything with them.

Th good thing of having alliance you know people got your back and they may save you in a close call later in the games.The cons of having alliances is that the person you trust may turn on you when the games are starting to heat up.Most of all you wiil eventually have to kill your partner
ReplyDeleteI think the reason many form alliances is to make things easier in the arena. Most tributes probaly just ignore the fact that they must kill each other at some point like Katniss and Rue did. By having an alliance, you'd be able to get more food, hunt down your enemies, relax about your safety more, and have an easy chance to kill your partner when the time came. Some cons include being afraid of getting killed by your partner(S) and having a hard time killing them. I probaly would form an alliance to help me. However, I would be very careful to make sure my partner didn't kill me.

Some people might betray the person they form an alliance when they arent expecting it.

If this happened for real,no-one would ever form an alliance,there is one winner.The other people HAVE TO KILL YOU,THEY WILL KILL YOU,so it's a stupid thing to do.(unless maybe with one from your own district but still,one of you is going to have to kill the other.Even the fake Romeo+Juliet ending wouldn't happen.Yeah make no-one win and piss off the people with the power,who will no doubt seek revenge on your loved ones back@district 12).There is no benefit to forming an alliance with people you are going to kill,unless you plan killing them all in their sleep and you win.You just wouldn't take the risk,if the whole point of everything was for someone else to kill you.What are you thinking in an alliance?let's hang around and "help" each other for a little while,before you stab me @ 4am?Ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI had heard this film was alright.I dodged it 'cause I thought it would be another "Running Man".It was actually worse.It felt like half a film,the ending was just to set up for another installment zzzzzzzzzzzzz I'm glad I didn't pay to watch it,I would have been mightly peeved.
